Planning
If you are thinking of exporting your product or service, the correct planning is vital. You will need to consider the following factors:
- Which markets are your products/services best suited to?
- What language and cultural barriers could you encounter by entering such a market?
- Do existing employees possess language skills or would you need to employ multilingual staff to facilitate trade with your chosen market/s?
- Will you need to train staff in the language and culture of your market and if so will it be in-house or off-site? The RLN can help by sourcing quality-assured language trainers to suit your requirements.
- Will you need interpreters or translators to improve your communications with overseas clients? The RLN has a database of quality-assured translators and interpreters and can provide access to the right provider for you.
