Short-term language help
If your business could benefit from some short-term language help then why not consider employing local university language students or graduates? Whether you have a short-term ad hoc language project or could employ a student over the summer holidays, you could complete a task cost-effectively as well as making a positive difference to a student's work experience.
The following universities and organisations enable you to advertise short-term placements, summer jobs and long-term graduate positions to local language students:
The University of Northampton
Northampton University has a large number of students from Africa, the EU accession countries, India, Bangladesh, China and other countries in the Far East as well as offering courses in Mandarin, French, German, Italian and Spanish. They offer a free service to advertise part-time jobs, summer jobs, internships and graduate vacancies and for a small fee you can target those with a specific degree discipline.
The university can also arrange for you to exhibit at one of their many targeted careers fairs or make a presentation during a class. They can also help with visa requirements for placements and industrial years.
To explore these opportunities further please contact
Catherine Klimes, Team Leader, Educational & Careers Guidance Service, on 01604 893202.
The University of Nottingham
Nottingham University has over 7000 overseas students from 150 countries as well as UK students studying French, German, Spanish, Russian and Chinese. To discuss how the university can help your business please contact the RLN to find out more details.
