College staff sign up 18.10.07
Staff at Burton College have been given the opportunity to learn some basic sign language.
A series of fun and practical taster sessions were held at the Lichfield Street campus, during which tutor Sangita Page taught staff how to finger-spell, sign their name and ask basic questions.
Melanie Kemp, curriculum leader, said:
"Every year, the British Deaf Association runs a campaign to raise awareness of sign language and encourage people to learn it."
