Poster competition for Russian Language Year 21.05.07

President Putin has designated 2007 as 'Russian Language Year'. This is a great idea but it needs more publicity and that is where you come in...

The Scotland-Russia Forum, in association with various other organisations including SCILT (Scottish Centre for Language Teaching and Research), has organised a Russian Poster Competition where entrants of all ages can design a poster to promote the language.

This is your chance to tell the world why they should learn Russian and text on your poster can be in English, Russian or both! The deadline for entries is 14 July 2007 and winning posters will go on an exhibition tour of the UK.

Prizes will be awarded in three categories:

  • Primary School contestants (aged up to 11)
  • Secondary School contestants (aged 12 - 18)
  • Everyone else (aged 19 - 99+)

To find out more you can download the flyer and entry form (pdf 145 KB)
