Leicester Adult Education College is a local education authority maintained establishment.
By background a language teacher, Pauline has had a 30 year career in education teaching French (and English) in primary, secondary, further, adult and higher education establishments and services. A passion for the world of adult education has led to consultancy work for: CILT, the National Centre for Languages, NIACE, the DfES Standards Unit and the Nuffield Languages Inquiry. As well as language education, a particular area of expertise is learning for older people, work that has generated a number of research reports and articles for educational journals.
Spare time is a bit thin on the ground but a love of travel, theatre, film, art and family accounts for most of it.
